So I have a request. Basically, I will be installing a functional flap on my shaker hood. While looking at it the other night, I thought it would be neat to put something on it, as it has this nice blank space and is only visible to the passengers.
So, my mother has a cricut machine that can make custom 1 color vinyl stickers, and I was thinking of putting some text in there as I was able to get a lookalike font off the forums. Something short, somewhat symmetrical. Along the lines of “never lift” or “go baby go” (forgetting that was from gone in 60 seconds, and the licensed Elanor debacle).
Short list: insert haters, this sucks, loud pedal, zero fucks, good bye. That was just off the top of my head. Belive me it will be the only thing I will be thinking about for the next week at least.
Give me some ideas! Keep in mind there is that center support. I could always put something else there, but my art skills are limited so it would have to be something easily shopped and simple for the machine to produce.
Happy Birthday America!

does the flap open under throttle or close under throttle?
if its open under throttle, put something like ‘go baby go’ on it. if its closes, something like: WHAOO Nelly.

It’s a fresh air inlet that opens under vacuum. So lots of throttle = open flap.
“Loud Noises” would work for me just because it would make me lol. “ When in doubt throttle out” is too many words unfortunately.

“DON’T WORRY.” If you see it, there’s no need to worry. If you don’t, though, worry. Maybe paint “DON’T” onto the flap, and make “WORRY” a fixed
perforated piece ahead of the
flap
that i
s always visible, so the sign switches between “DON’T WORRY” and “WORRY” depending on the throttle.

I worry enough as it is. Dont need to add any more.

Assuming it opens under (heavy) throttle, how about
PUSH HARDER
RIGHT PEDAL
WOT TOW
BIRD FUEL
or
OPPO OddO

Don’t Panic
One word in each panel, written in a large friendly font that invites you to not panic.

I’m not a huge Douglas Adam s fan, but I did appreciate his work. I’d go for:
DON’T PANIC
“Arthur C. Clarke said Douglas Adams’ use of “don’t panic” was perhaps the best advice that could be given to humanity.”

My suggestion is “DON’T PANIC”
Or stick something like this on the hood scoop:
